Anna Thomson
Based in Edinburgh, Anna Thomson Graduated from Grays School of Art in
2008 with a BA(Hons) in Printmaking. She works mainly using Screen and
Digital Printmaking but also dabbles in Casting, Mould Making and
Etching in portraying her subject matter.
Anna Describes;
'I've been looking a lot at Fairy Tales, in particular at how they influence
children's development as there is a lot of subliminal levels to their
meaning which I feel lends itself well to the processes I use which involve
lots of layering that is reflective of the of the nature of Fairy Tales and
Folklore as there is always more to explore and something new to see
that was perhaps overlooked previously.'
