Diane Allan
Diane Allan is from Bearsden, Glasgow originally but this year graduated
from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with an Honours
degree in Textile Design.
Diane explains;
'My work is inspired by flea markets and jumble sales and focuses on the
idea of reinvention and reinterpretation of old unwanted items,
in-particular looking at old crockery and cutlery.
My designs are an eclectic mix of delicate drawing, collage and screen-
printing. But I have designed and produced a range of hand-made
wallpapers as well as a collection of ceramic pieces. Some of which can
be seen in this show'
