Elaine Thomson
Elaine grew up in rural Aberdeenshire and was educated at Mintlaw
Academy, going on to study at Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art &
Design, Dundee, and Graduated in July 2003 with a Ba Hons degree in Fine
Art.
Her work is focused on her strong interest of the figure and fashion, mixing
the two areas to create contemporary illustrative pieces using a mixture of
drawing and printmaking.
The mixture of line and vivid colours can often be compared to the
qualities of fashion illustration. Elaine has continued to produce work
focused on her interest in the figure and fashion and exhibits mainly in and
around the Aberdeen area.
