Julie Beynon

Julie Graduated from Gray's school of art in 2009 with a honours degree
in fine art printmaking. Below she explains more about her work and
  influences.

"The phrase 'Life's Rich Tapestry' has always fascinated me, the concept
that as we journey through life we simultaneously yet unknowingly,
weave a tapestry of our experiences. It is this concept that lies behind my
work, how would such a tapestry look? Would our experiences be
recorded in colour, black for the worst events and bright sunny yellow for
the happiest? The incorporation of a variety of surfaces, textures and
patterns adding richness and diversity? Or would our tapestries be woven
with images and symbols, mementos representative of our own individual
story? The elements contained within my work are familiar objects - keys,
stamps, bird eggs, everyday and ordinary but gathered together create a
sense of nostalgia, relating to the ephemeral nature of human experience.

We are who we are because we are shaped by our past; we continue each
day to add to our own unique tapestry."

  Julie's prints range from £12 - £120 framed.
